It's just a Metapod, chillin' there. It's only until the person recording speaks that it becomes obvious who this Metapod belongs to - and he doesn't sound very amused.]

What the hell happened to my Caterpie?

[At least he's straight to the point. Despite doing some research, this is his first pokémon to evolve and he isn't quite sure what to make of it or why it happened.]

...Good question. I guess that would depend on how long this will last? He might not need to eat for a few days, but if it's weeks or months...

Undoubtedly. I've seen Pokémon battle even though they were asleep or unable to recognize their opponent; dealing with a little cocoon is a small hurdle compared to that.
