007 || video/action for travel party;
[The recording starts with just Raikov's upper body visible on screen. He looks exhausted and not at all his usual sassy self. There's the sound of sobbing in the background.]
I had the bright idea to get a ghost-type [despite being absolutely terrified of them] and now I don't know what to do. I'm at my wits end.
[He turns his Gear towards the tiny Yamask floating by his feet that's making rather pathetic noises. She only gets louder while the video's recording her so Raikov turns it back to himself.]
She was fine the first day she hatched but now she just keeps crying. It started after I had her do a quick battle. You'd think she'd be happy about winning... Apparently not.
And that's got me wondering... Are battles that stressful to some species or is this a common trait among Yamasks?
[For the sake of his new traveling buddies, he's kept her in her pokeball most of the time just so they don't have to listen to her wail all day long.]

Why would you get a Yamask?
Don't you know what they are?

They... the-- the description in the 'Gear--!

... What the fuck?! Why... How?!

They don't seem particularly bothered by it, I don't think, but I....
[He breathes in deeply, but he doesn't continue his train of thought.]

[Raikov sighs and runs his fingers through his hair.]
Do I... treat her like a human then...?
locked;
I wouldn't know how to help someone like that.
[Especially since how he deals with it is to ignore it and hope it goes away.]

I feel like setting her free would only make the situation worse but it feels inhumane to keep something that was once human as a "pet" of sorts...

[ he has two of his own, in fact ( and a baby shuppet on the way )! two rather devious gengars happen to be chilling in his shadow. the two raise said shadow behind him after being mentioned, split into two, and give quick waves before slinking back down to the ground.
as for sad pokemon . . . ]
—Y'got some snackage on hand, bro?

Raikov doesn't hide his discomfort as the Gengar manifest from Gamzee's shadow. WITCHCRAFT.
Silly Russians and their crazy superstitions.]Er... I tried to feed her, if that's what you're asking.

Yeah, man. Got her feelin' more at chill?

video;
Yamask, huh? What did you name her? Maybe it's just the trait within Yamasks to make such a noise? Perhaps she isn't ready to battle yet and just wants to get to know you better first.
video;
Considering if what the pokedex says is true, she has all the reason in the world to cry. Apparently Yamasks were once human.

I don't understand. How can Pokémon be people? I thought Pokémon are their own species.
