What the hell happened to my Caterpie?

[At least he's straight to the point. Despite doing some research, this is his first pokémon to evolve and he isn't quite sure what to make of it or why it happened.]

Don't worry. I think your Pokémon just evolved into the next stage in it's evolution. Have you been battling with it?

You have what's known as a Metapod. That's the next stage in your Pokémon's evolution. Pokémon evolve once they reach a certain level and become stronger. [Yes, he's been reading up on his Pokedex.]

That's really weird. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though.

Well, some people do find the shape strange but it looks like Metapod has got a really good defence rating, since it's basically a chrysalis. You should try battling with it and see how well it does against attacks.

You could try looking on your Pokedex to see what moves he has learned. Probably defensive moves of some sort. [Otacon briefly checked his own Pokedex to take a look at Metapod's moves.]

[Raikov raises an eyebrow quizzically and looks over at Pasha. A moment later a wide smirk spreads across his lips. Pasha looks... asleep.]

Harden, huh? Seems fitting.
