005 || video/action for Olivine City;
[Raikov's chillin' on the beach, clad in nothing but sunglasses and a black speedo. He's got the device set down next to him in the sand. His other Pokemon can be seen running around in the distance behind him. Katya is by his side like always though, sporting a tiny straw hat. lookit how stylish she is. gurrlll]
I have to say, I've got some good luck as far as traveling goes. I arrived in Olivine right after the week-long rain and now the weather is beautiful. I was never one for beaches back home but this place is amazing. There's a perfect breeze coming off the ocean, it's not too hot out... I think I'll be staying here for a while. I may even be able to work on getting a tan instead of burning like I usually do.
[Curse his semi-albinism. He looks pleased though.]
Mmm.. I never thought I'd say this but... this is the life. Even with how weird this world operates, I'm glad I'm here.
[Katya chirps in agreement from the hole she's dug in the sand. Raikov rolls on to his side to face his pokegear and props his sunglasses up slightly. There's that mischievous grin that clearly reads "I'm up to no good."]
But enough about me being all sentimental and soft. You've all had more than enough time to admire the view. If I let this go on any longer, I'll have to start charging.
[And he grabs the pokegear, thus ending the recording. What a brat.]
[OOC: Pretend this was earlier in the day.]

People say that, but I wouldn't push my luck, if I was you.
[Then, something real different comes over the guy's expression. A sudden humanity that has Blake forgetting, just for a second, to be an asshole.
It's his sort of stab at sympathy.] You've been through some shit, huh.
Congrats, Blake. You've successfully defeated the troll in him... for the time being.]
Karma is a bitch.
He lets out a heavy sigh, and there's wry understanding in his voice.]
Tell me about it.
... Besides, I think I deserve to show off and enjoy myself. It's summer, the weather is beautiful here, and I never got to go to any nice beaches back home.
Hah, yeah, on Russian beaches you gotta worry about getting eaten by polar bears.
[Blake it is a large country with a variety of weather conditions.
His expression changes. He's shifting around the the tone of actually having a conversation with the guy rather than just giving him shit.]
But really now. You've never gotten any trouble for... [He waves his hand at him] ...that kind of thing around here?
Exactly.
[He's certainly surprised. Usually Blake gives him a hard time about everything. He raises an eyebrow and tilts his head slightly, his expression softening.]
I haven't. It's... really nice. Even from the first day I arrived here, I was pleasantly surprised someone immediately started flirting with me without me prompting it first.
Besides, if anyone gave me trouble, I have a good team of protectors with me.
[Two fire type dogs can be intimidating.]
Actual thought and consideration comes onto his face.]
Really? You'd think wholesome fucks like this would crack down hard on anything weird. Magic animals or no magic animals.
[video] I am very sorry
I'd figure a Russian queer would be a bear.
[video] don't be. I love it.
Another stereotype. Homosexual men come in all shapes and sizes.
Not everyone's as blessed as I am when it comes to beautiful though.
[And the inability to grow body and facial hair. Bishonen syndrome.]
[He's doing his level best not to notice any hair or lack thereof.] 'Beautiful' isn't a word that goes for men.

... They have calendars for cheesecake...?
[This is very important.]
[That one is easy to answer.] You know, pin-up photos. Sexy pictures.
[He holds his hand up and clarifies distinctly] Of ladies.
[He's obviously disappointed by Blake's answer and pouts a bit.]
Then why call them cheesecake? They should reward you with cheesecake for doing pin-up photos.
[A grown man in a speedo pouting at him is goddamn disturbing.
Blake rolls his eyes.] Maybe they do. I've never done any, so I wouldn't know.
I'm not surprised.
[A pause.]
And I see you don't believe me. Humor me for a moment then. If you were gay and found me attractive, what adjective would you use to describe me?
... That's how you'd describe me if you were attracted to me?
It's accurate, isn't it?
But that's no fun.
Although I'm not from Siberia.
